Resumo

RESUMO: O Grupo Pallavi foi criado em 2010 com a proposta de estudo do gestual presente nas danças clássicas indianas e de sua função no treinamento do intérprete contemporâneo. Pallavi – dança pura – é o termo que, no estilo Odissi, refere-se às possibilidades virtuosas do intérprete. Com a evolução das atividades, o grupo passou a abranger pesquisadores e outras artes corporais asiáticas, como kalarippayatt (arte marcial indiana), gongfu (arte marcial chinesa) e dança-teatro de Bali, e ampliou suas atividades para além da linha Técnicas e Processos de Formação do Artista da Cena (linha de pesquisa da docente fundadora do grupo), passando a incluir a linha de pesquisa Poéticas e Linguagens da Cena e um olhar para os mitos como fomentadores da criação contemporânea.

ABSTRACT: The Pallavi Group was established in 2012 focused on studying the gestures of Indian Classical Dances and their role in the training of the contemporary interpreter. Pallavi – pure dance – is the term that in the Odissi dance style refers to the virtuous possibilities of the interpreter. The development of the group activities has attracted new researchers and other Asian Body Arts, such as Kalarippayatt (Indian Martial Art), Gongfu (Chinese Martial Arts) and Balinese Dance Drama. Its activities has expanded beyond the technical field and the research area Formation Process of the Scene Artist (which the responsible of the group integrates), now including another research area such as Poetics and Languages of the Scene and looking at the myths as symbolic promoters of contemporary creation.
