O Teatro do Oprimido e a teoria social de Pierre Bourdieu.

Resumo

Esta reflexão tem como ideia básica de estabelecer uma conexão entre o conceito do método teatral do Teatro do Oprimido, criado por Augusto Boal (1931-2009) e a teoria social do sociólogo francês Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002) no contexto da constituição do espaço público relacionado à interação entre o indivíduo e a sociedade. Será abordado como o Teatro do Oprimido é uma forma estética para confrontar a hierárquica estrutura social, que também foi analisado por Bourdieu, introduzindo termos como habitus na sua teoria social.

This presentation reflects on the basic idea of establishing a connection between the concept of the theatrical method of the Theatre of the Oppressed, created by Augusto Boal (1931-2009) and the social theory of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu (1930-2002) in the context of the constitution of public space in relation of the interaction between the individual an the society. It is to be discussed how the Theatre of the Oppressed serves as an aesthetic form to confront a hierarchical social structure, which also has been analysed by Bourdieu in introducing terms like habitus in his social theory.                                                               Keywords: Theatre of the Oppressed, Augusto Boal, Pierre Bourdieu, habitus
